Fridays After Fives Returns September 21st in Downtown Athens

Fridays After Five is the third Friday of each month in June-September, continuing this Friday, September 21 from 5-8 p.m. in downtown Athens, Alabama.

... WOW! Internet, Cable & Phone, was a huge success in June and August.  Downtown merchants will be open on Friday, September 21 until 8:00pm.  Many will offer special sales and activities.  Vendors will be setup along Marion Street to sell art, handmade items, jewelry, fresh produce and even locally roasted coffee! Local restaurants will be offering dining and drink specials. There will be fun for the entire family.  One of our biggest hits from June was our Kids Zone.

In addition to all this fun, Alabama-born Singer-Songwriter/Producer/Worship Leader, Erik Smallwood will be performing from 6:00-8:00 pm.  Eric has a North Carolina based 10-year career on his resume’ that includes sharing the stage with national acts, festivals, award nominations, film contributions, the respect of his peers, as well as performing on many big and small stages within the Christian market. Smallwood has won several songwriting competitions, and took home "Up and Coming" Magazine's Best Entertainer in 2014. Erik has been nominated for 5 Carolina Music Awards, won in 2012 for Best Country Male, as well as nominated for two Alabama Music Awards in 2017, won for Best Country Male 2017.
