We're located two blocks east of the Limestone County Courthouse Square on Market Street. You'll find us nestled on the corner of Big Spring Memorial Park at the intersection of Market and Beaty Streets. The Athens-Limestone County Tourists Association is housed in the Athens Visitors Center located in the historic Athens Utilities Building built in 1906. In later years it is was often referred to as the "Domino Hall" where men played dominos each week.
We promote tourism for Athens as well as these Limestone County communities: Ardmore, Clements, East Limestone, Elkmont, Lester, Mooresville, Piney Chapel, Tanner and West Limestone. We are here to help you find things to do like upcoming festivals, cruise-ins, live music and more. We also have information on many of the attractions and festivals in North Alabama that make a great day trip or weekend getaway like the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL and Joe Wheeler State Park in Rogersville. Hope you'll take some time to visit with us and please feel free to contact us for more information.
