"Sean of the South" to Speak at Athens StateAthens, AL – Athens State University is pleased to announce that Sean of the South (Sean Dietrich) will be coming to campus for “An Evening with Sean of the South” on Thursday, January 17 at 6:00 PM. The event, sponsored by Athens State’s Livingston Concert/Lecture Series, will take place in McCandless Hall. Dietrich will hold a book signing during a small reception that will follow. Dietrich, best known for... ... his commentary and stories about life in the American South, is a writer, humorist, radio show host, and self-proclaimed biscuit connoisseur. He has authored seven books, and his work has appeared in Southern Living, Alabama Living, The Birmingham News, Thom Magazine, and The Mobile Press Register.
