IT’S MUD VOLLEYBALL MONTH IN LIMESTONE COUNTY![]() ATHENS, Alabama – Registration is open for the County for a Cure Relay for Life Team’s Mud Volleyball Tournament. The Tournament will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Swan Creek Park on U.S. 31 in Athens. All proceeds from this tournament will benefit the American Cancer Society. Not only will the winner of the tournament take home the prized “Golden Pig Trophy,” they will also take home prize money. Teams can register online at... ... www.active.com or at the Limestone County Commission Office, 310 W. Washington Street in Athens. Registration for the tournament will end July 10, 2019. Those teams that are registered by July 8, 2019, will receive a free t-shirt. All teams must have a minimum of eight players with two females on the playing court during play. County for a Cure is excited to welcome Morell Engineering as the Premier Sponsor of the tournament this year. County for a Cure welcomes back Jamie Cooper of Cooper & Company to kick off the tournament and several members from the Cumulus Broadcasting family to be a part of the tournament throughout the day. “We are honored to continue the tournament that was originally formed by CASA almost three decades ago and look forward to playing in the mud with everyone,” said team captain Michelle Williamson. “The continued community support that our team has received to assist us in organizing this tournament is amazing.”
