July 21st Brings Matt Prater to Singing on the Square Summer Concert SeriesHe's a crowd favorite that not only gets the audience to tap their toes but often up on their feet too. Matt Prater offers a mix of bluegrass, country and folk when he takes to the stage... with songs of life in the South, hard work, and down home values. His lifelong passion for music comes through in his songs and his performances including tracks off of three albums "Small Town Son", "The Mountain" and "Tables and Chairs".
Matt will be headlining the July 21st show on the eastern side of the Limestone County Courthouse in downtown Athens from 6:00PM-8:00PM. Marion Street will be closed to through traffic for audiences' camp chairs, blankets and of course, dancing if they're moved by the music. The show is free and open to the public thanks to sponsor Jimmy Smith Buick GMC and Athens-Limestone County Tourism Association. If the weather isn't feeling cooperative for the night of music, the show will be moved Vietnam Veterans Building at 17915 West Elm Street in Athens. MAP
