July 2017 Country Lifestyle Series Presents a Free Presentation about Paving Stones and Garden Path Stones On July 8, 2017 at 10:00 AM, the free Country Lifestyle Series will have a demonstration presentation about making stepping stones. Randy and Sue Duff will be showing... attendees the steps to making a garden or pathway decorative stepping stone, where to buy supplies, and tools needed to make these stones. There will be limited practical demonstrations as well as the step by step process to design and produce decorative stepping stones or flat garden ornaments.
There will be time for questions after the presentation. Please be sure to call the Library at 931-427-4883 to sign up OR if you are at the Library ask the person at the front desk for the sign up form for this informative talk. This will be the last presentation for a few months while we try to find speakers for future programs and to assess interest in this series. If you have suggestions for programs please let the Librarian know and if you have a candidate instructor please give that name and contact to the library. We have had expressed interest in alternative healing, foraging candle and cheese making, but have been unable to arrange for an instructor. We are committed to serving the greater Ardmore library area with quality programs that fill a community need but need feedback from the public on what your interests are and attend as well as identifying qualified instructors. Randy and Sue Duff are self-educated hobbyists who enjoy a variety of self-reliant skills as well as homesteading skills. We have some experience in organic gardening, small stock raising and numerous other activities to include food preservation, milk production, and large livestock for meat production to included both grain based and grass or field based use process, sewing, and various needle crafts. We are willing to set up and host at the library any program that fits the home style criteria and has enough interest to justify the work that the instructor(s) will have to expend to present the lecture or practical demonstration. You can keep up with our progress for additional classes by checking “Your Community Shopper” or stopping by the Ardmore Public Library.
