Light the Courthouse Gold & Flash Dash Change Venue Due to Threat of Inclement Weather From the organizers of The Flash Dash and Light the Courthouse Gold: ATTENTION: Due to expected rain and wet conditions on Thursday, the Flash Dash46 will be moved to the Limestone County Event Center, 114 Pryor Street, Athens, AL 35613. We will still "Be Bold", so we will still "Go GOLD" at the courthouse in honor of Childhood Cancer month, but ... ... the lighting will be broadcast on screens at the Event Center for participants to see. The doors will open for registration at 5:45, with The Flash Dash46 starting at 6:30PM. All proceeds from The Walk will go to the family of Leah Siebert. Childhood Cancer survivor Makenzey Cain, plus nurses from the St. Jude clinic in Huntsville will say a few words, followed by the reading of a proclamation by County Commissioner Jason Black before the lights are turned GOLD at the courthouse. We will have hamburgers, snow cones, and snacks with the showing of the movie The Avengers. Bring a team of Walkers and compete for the Team Spirit trophy. We hope that you will join us for our first Childhood Cancer month rally.
