Looking for some tunes? Check out Vinyl Revival located at 113 East Pryor Street in Athens for some of your favorite artist. Step inside UG White is like stepping into yester-year and you’ll find popular toys – and candy – from eras gone by. The candy bins are irresistible – piled with lemon drops, Sweet Tarts, Pop Rocks, Tootsie Roll pops, Charleston Chews, Cow Tails, Laffy Taffy, and loads more. You’ll find Coke in a glass bottle, roasted peanuts, and specialty goodies like honeys, hot sauces, barbecue sauces, jams and more from all over the South to help transport your meal to the “good ole’ days” too. Step over the toys and let the nostalgia wax as well with classic Fisher Price toys, the prognosticating Reckon Ball, train sets, a variety of old time hand-held games and more. Of course, the big kid in your can enjoy the Case Knives filling case after case – you might even spot one like Grandpa used to have. Then there’s Lodges’ cast iron like Grandmas too. A peruse of U.G. White’s will have the nostalgia flowing. You’ll find U.G. White in downtown Athens located at 101 North Jefferson Street. Set your mind to explore and pass through time by checking the antique shops dotted throughout Athens-Limestone Alabama. You never know what you’ll find from antique furniture like Grandma had to the lunch box of your youth – anything and everything can fill the booths. Candlelight Antique Mall located at 26501 Upper Elkton Road in Elkmont is open Monday-Saturday 9:00 AM-5:00 PM and Sunday 1:00 PM – 5 PM. Favorite finds include merchandise signs and blow mold decorations. Favorite finds include primitive and antique furniture of various styling and periods.
