Make It An Athens-Limestone ValentinesDAV-AL51’s Host Annual Valentine’s Day Raffle & Fundraiser Looking to celebrate Valentine’s with your sweetheart early? You might want to make plans to join the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 51 in Athens as they bring Valentine’s early to Athens-Limestone with chances to enjoy a meal and purchase tickets on raffle and door prize items. This special event is scheduled... ... for February 6th 2021 from 10:00AM to 2:00PM.
Activities included that day feature the LifeSouth Blood Mobile from 10:00AM-2:00PM. With a crucial need for blood in the Tennessee Valley, all blood types are needed to help save lives. You can schedule an appointment to give blood by visiting LifeSouth. Click find a blood drive and enter zip 35611 then select the Vietnam Veterans Building. Members of the Disabled American Veterans will be preparing meal plates for you and your sweetheart to enjoy for $10.00 as part of the day’s events. Those dining will get a door prize ticket with their plate. The big draw for the raffle will occur at 12:00PM. With items like stays with the Westin Hotel; Gift Cards from Buffalo Wild Wings, Pimento’s, Greenbrier Restaurant; Jewelry from Osbourne’s Jewelers, Tammy’s Fine Jewelry and Limestone Pawn; and more awaiting the lucky ticket holder. Tickets are just $5.00 each or 5 for $20.00 and you don’t have to be present to win. There are some nice door prizes too. Six Russell Stover’s Heart-shaped Chocolate Boxes; a Copy of Lure and Lore from the Donnell House; a Columns and Culture Goody Bag from Athens-Limestone Tourism and more. Tickets are $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00. The monies raised during the 2nd Annual Valentine’s Day Raffle and Fundraiser will help the Disabled American Veteran’s Chapter 51 in restoring their post and continuing their mission to serve the disabled veterans and their families of Limestone County.
