Come Enjoy A Small Town Christmas with Elkmont Alabama Put on those Santa hats, wacky Christmas sweaters, and pack up the kids for a fun-filled afternoon in downtown Elkmont, Alabama as the citizens welcome the holidays with a “Christmas Celebration In Elkmont” starting... ... at 1:00PM. Hope your ready for a day of Christmas activities as Elkmont kicks off with the Elkmont Lions Club Christmas Parade: I’ll Be Home For Christmas at 1:00PM. Full of floats, tractors, the Marching Red Devil Band and off course, Saint Nick himself. Santa not quite done with his visit to Elkmont, come watch him as he arrives at Elkmont Town Hall on a fire truck at 2:00PM. Hope the kids are ready with their list and their picture. From 2:00PM-5:00PM the downtown merchants of Elkmont welcome you to bring your list and check off some gifts while enjoying warm Apple Cider, Grinch Punch, Hot Chocolate, Coffee, cookies, Summer Sausage Trees, and Grinch Chocolate Bark. Kids can write letters to Santa and drop in Santa’s mail box at Amy’s Antiques. Will Stutts will be singing songs of Christmas and carols from 4:30PM to close. Join Mayor Compton at 5:00PM as he dedicates Elkmont’s Memorial Tree and stay for the Tinsel Walk Tree Lighting at 5:15PM kicking off the inaugural season of Elkmont’sTinsel Walk.
