Calhoun Softball Camp

​​CALHOUN’S ATHLETICS DEPARTMENT TO HOST ONE-DAY SOFTBALL CAMP ON JUNE 20

Calhoun Community College’s Athletic Program is excited to host the Lady Warhawks Softball camp on Tuesday, June 20, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. The camp will be held on the Decatur campus at the Calhoun Softball field, 6250 US Hwy 31 N, Tanner, AL. Lunch will be provided for all camp participants.  

The day camp will provide girls between the 7th and 12th grade an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of softball such as hitting, fielding, base running, and other techniques of the game. Campers will receive individual and group training from Calhoun’s softball coaches. According to Calhoun’s Head Softball Coach Nancy Keenum, “The softball camp is completely hands on. Campers will participate in various drills, skills challenges, and other fun games, which will help them enhance their softball career,” Keenum states.

The pre-registration fee is $75 by the June 10th deadline, or $90 on the day of camp from 8:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. Campers must bring bat, batting gloves, helmet, tennis shoes, glove, and catching equipment.
