Make It An Athens-Limestone Valentines

Sweet Thymes Means Sweet Times
For Your Lucky Valentine

There’s a small, unsuspecting building located on North Clinton Street in Athens Alabama that holds a treasure – and perhaps one of the community’s best kept secrets, Sweet Thymes. When not catering weddings and events around the Tennessee Valley, the little boutique to-go eatery prepares meals with an a la cart flair. They post a menu for the day featuring...
... items like Mississippi Pot Roast; Honey Pecan Chicken; numerous casseroles; wraps and quesadillas; salads; soups; and sides for locals and passerbys to pre-order or pickup for lunch.

Imagine swinging by Sweet Thymes and picking up two meals to go and surprising your love with lunch at work. Daily menus are posted at Sweet Thymes Facebook page early in the morning so you can pick and choose your entrees and sides and a little sweet end to your surprise – dessert. Prices range from $5.50 to $10.99 for most of the menu.

Now that Valentine’s is upon us, Sweet Thymes has turned their attention to help you spoil your sweetheart with fresh made goodies decked in ribbons of red and pink. From Iced Pretzel Sticks (2 large sticks with a toy for $2.25 plus tax) or Cup with Toy ($8.00 plus tax) to heart shaped cookies frosted with glazes in Valentine colors and wrapped with ribbon (1 Large Cookie $3.50 plus tax or 3 medium for $5.00 plus tax) or plastic baskets full of hearts ($12.00 plus tax) to Rice Krispy Pops with Toys ($6.00 plus tax) and an assortment of goodies in clams shells ranging from $10.00 to $20.00 (plus tax).

If you’d like to pre-order sweet treats for Valentine’s or place a to-go order, just call 256-444-4142. Sweet Thymes is located at 407 North Clinton Street in Athens just behind Vinyl Revival on the northwest corner of Clinton and Pryor Streets. You’ll find their door open Monday-Friday from 10:30AM-2:00PM unless closed for a catering event.
