Limestone County Historic Society Offers Athens Stadium Keepsake Ornament

It's an annual Christmas tradition in Athens-Limestone Alabama for the Limestone County Historic Society to pick an iconic structure or event from the community and unveil it as a keepsake ornament.   Previous ornaments have included Founders Hall of Athens State University, Athens Grammar School/Greene University; the historic Beaty-Mason Home...

... the College Inn; and the Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Convention.

Joining this special collection of Christmas memory-making ornaments is the Athens Stadium - "Home of the Golden Eagles".

 The ornaments are 24-karat gold-plated brass, feature their year, and are created in a limited run by D'ore Ornament Designs of Smithfield, Rhode Island.  Each ornament comes with paperwork to confirm its provenance including ornament number in the limited run and a historical highlight of Athens Stadium.

The ornament is $15.00 each as sold exclusively at Osbourne's Jewelers in the Eastside Junction Shopping Center at 22099 U.S. Highway 72 in Suite D in Athens.
