Relay for Life of Limestone County Sets May 4th as Relay Night
... the annual Relay for Life Night on the evening of May 4, 2018 in the parking lot of the Limestone County Event Center (114 West Pryor Street in Athens). This annual event is the culmination of a year-long efforts to raise money and awareness by area teams. The monies raised by teams countywide by hosting dinners, cornhole tournaments, fishing tournaments, selling crafts and other activities will be given to the American Cancer Society to find a cure for all cancers as well as provide services and assistance to citizens of Limestone County fighting cancer.
Everyone is invited to don your walking shoes and your favorite purple outfit, the color of Relay for Life, and join in the event themed "Passport to a Cure". The event is free to attend but be sure to bring your wallet as you peruse the theme-decorated Team Tents that offer items for sale in their continued fundraising efforts. The evening is full of activities including commemorating the Survivors, remembering those who lost their battle to cancer, uplifting the caretakers, and uniting to continue to fight for more birthdays. Everyone is welcome to come walk a lap or two in memory of loved ones and friends that are fighting cancer or lost their battle to cancer. Activities get underway at 6:00PM. The schedule for the evening's event:
