Limestone County Churches Involved Seek To Stuff-the-Bus for County Low-Income Childrenin the lot of the Wal-Mart Supercenter (1011 U.S. Highway 72E in Athens) on July 27th and 28th from 9:00AM to 5:00PM for drop off of the much needed supplies. The most critical supplies needed to outfit students according to LCCI are: 1. Book Bags 2. Loose Leaf Paper - Wide-Ruled and College 3. Wooden No. 2 Pencils 4. Pens (Blue and Black Ink) 5. Colored Pencils, 24 Count 6. Crayola Washable Marker, 10 Count 7. Pencil Pouch 8. 3-Ring Binders, 1" and 1.5" 9. Composition Books, Wide-Ruled and College 10. Large Erasers 11. Glue Sticks 12. Highlighters LCCI will welcome any other items that would be of benefit to Athens/ Limestone students. Shoppers are welcome to stop and look at the supply list in area stores and make selections from them to donate as well. Gift cards and cash donations are also an option to help fill the needs in any under-donated category. Alabama's School Supply Sales Tax Weekend will be July 20-22, 2018 for anyone wishing to plan ahead and make plans to enjoy the sales tax holiday to help LCCI's Stuff-the-Bus. A reference sheet of included and exempt items is available here. Volunteers are needed to prepare the donated items for distribution day on July 30th and 31st from 1:00PM-5:00PM at the First Presbyterian Revival Center (303 West Washington Street in Athens).
