Fishing University Hosts Visit Limestone County Career Tech To Inspire StudentsFishing University and its hosts Charlie Ingram and Ray Brazier are in Athens this week filming a TV segment for their show that airs on the Outdoor Channel, Sportsman Channel, and World Fishing Network. Ingram is one of the only bass pros to take a president of the United States fishing. He took President George Bush and President George W. Bush. Brazier is a veteran tournament angler with motocross and maritime racing experience. For the segment, Fishing University is highlighting... ... fishing in the Athens and Limestone County area. The show will start airing in March. In addition, there will be an informational portion about outdoor recreation, shopping, dining and tourism in Athens and Limestone County. Fishing University conducted a program today (Feb. 21) at the Limestone County Career Technical Center to share information with students about outdoor career opportunities. The Athens High School fishing team joined the tech school students for the presentation. The speakers with Brazier and Ingram were: Professional anglers David Kilgore and Steve Wisdom TH Marine founder Bill Huntley Outdoor writer, fisherman and hunter Danny Johnson Limestone County Extension Coordinator Chris Becker The speakers' message to the students included not letting self doubt keep them from chasing their dreams, the importance of maintaining their integrity, and seeking a career they love. The City of Athens, Limestone County and Athens-Limestone Tourism Association worked together to help bring the show to Athens and Limestone County.
