Ardmore Crape Myrtle Festival Celebrates 25 Years
The Ardmore Crape Myrtle Festival has been celebrating their title as the "Crape Myrtle Capital of the World" for 25 years now. The festival , hosted by the Greater Ardmore Chamber of Commerce, continues to be big draw to community and this year is expected to be no exception. There is a big change in the festival this year,...
F... it has been moved to Ardmore Avenue and vicinity for the Saturday, August 26th event. Organizers have also moved the time to the afternoon, from 2:00PM to 8:00PM.
One thing that hasn't changed is the family-friendly activities. Among the fun activities will be water slides, bounce house, corn hole tournament, a variety of contests, over 40 vendors on site, shopping specials at the stores up and down Ardmore Avenue, dunking booth and live music from area groups. Local favorites The Flashbacks will be taking the stage at 6:00PM. The festival wouldn't be complete without green-thumbed Crape Myrtle lovers having a chance to peruse the collection of Crape Myrtles for their favorite colors and varieties to take home.
