Mooresville Alabama Marks Bicentennial

The small town of Mooresville Alabama has a population of barely 50 people but a rich and diverse heritage that will be marked during the period of the Alabama Bicentennial 2017-2019.

Mooresville is older than the State of Alabama by nearly 13 months.  Mooresville was recognized by the newly formed Alabama Territorial Assembly on November 16, 1818 whereas the state wasn't recognized until December 14, 1819.
