The Noah Bike Trail is an 89-mile circular route suitable for the avid cyclist, motorcyclist, family car, antique truck or Model T. Winding through the scenic foothills of the Appalachians in northern Limestone County Alabama, it passes amid family-farms, historic communities and points of interest and river-bottom land rich with a variety of animals and flora.
The Noah Bike Trail has been a popular route for century rides -- 100 mile circuit -- for Bike MS, Alabama Backroad Series, and area cycling groups. The route is easily adapted to shorter rides too.
Some of the featured attraction on the trail include Athens State University and the Altar of the New Testament; Athens-Limestone Civil War Trail; the historic cemeteries of Leggtown, Lentzville, and New Garden; Downtown Elkmont and Athens and many more sites and points of interest.
