Tales of History and the Unexplained from Athens State's 200 Years
Athens State University has stood the test of many a calamity and celebrations. Some may have heard the tales like... being saved from the ruins of the Civil War by a mysterious letter or how the students befell plague and misfortune. Or perhaps whispers and tales of unexplained happening within it's 200 year old walls that survive and thrive today.
You can enjoy these tales and more during the Haints & Saints: Tales of History and the Unexplained of Athens State's 200 Years as Athens State University and Athens-Limestone Tourism celebrate the coming bicentennial of the university.
This Eventbrite ticketed or pay-at-the-gate ticketed event for ages 12 and up features tales of Athens State University and neighboring historic districts led by local storyteller guides for an approximately 1.5-hour tour. Starting at 6:30PM on Founders Green of Athens State University (300 North Beaty Street) - attendees will gather and be introduced to Saints and their tales followed by tales of the haints that dot many of the historic structures of Athens.
