Cemetery Stroll

Every year, the Athens Cemetery Stroll brings the voices of Limestone County's history to life.  Costumed re-enactors portray individuals representing all walks of life from the county's past on the beautiful grounds of Athens City Cemetery.   Ancestors of scores of noteworthy citizens who left their mark on the city and the nation tell stories from our past so put on your walking shoes and bring your family to participate in this fascinating, outdoor theatrical program.
The 2022 Athens Cemetery Stroll will be Sunday, October 9th 2-4pm
This is a free unticketed event at The Athens City Cemetery.
Fair weather only. No rain date.

The 2020 Athens City Cemetery Stroll was dedicated to the memory of Richard “Buzz” Estes. Mr. Buzz was the creator and driving force behind the Cemetery Stroll from its beginning. A local business owner, military veteran, and mentor to many, he was a well-known and beloved member of our community. Sadly, Mr. Buzz
passed away on February 21, 2020.
