Featuring some of the best recreational facilities you will find any where we invite you to visit any of our parks and trails as well as enjoy some of the events scheduled. Our Mission Statement is to develop, operate, and maintain a parks & recreation system which improves the quality of life for citizens and visitors through sports, parks, and programs.

Athens Sportsplex
The Athens Sportsplex features:
• Four 200 ft baseball fields • Four youth/adult softball fields • Two high school soccer fields • Three 40 x 80 soccer fields • 18 hole championship disc golf course • Jr. Olympic swimming pool • All Kids Park (Pavilion & playground) • Greenway (walking trail that connects the Sportsplex to the Rec Center walking track and also down to Hwy 72) Walking Tracks/Trails

Youth Swim Team Overseen by Athens Gators 2019 Registration: May 1 Requirement: Child must be able to swim an age-appropriate length without assistance: 25 yards (8 and under), 50 yards (9-12), or 100 yards (13-18).
