The Athens-Limestone African-American Heritage Trail was created by the Athens-Limestone County Tourism Association to share the amazing collection of individuals, communities, and contributions of Limestone County's African-American citizens and organizations.
The impacts and legacies of the African-American Community of Limestone County has been experienced around the world through music, art, science, law, literature and service -- all stories deserving to be told with visitors.
