Athens Ladies Civitan Presents Annual Bells of Christmas Home Holiday Tour December 10th

​Athens has a number of historic homes, and several will be featured on the annual Bells of Christmas Home Holiday Tour.

The self-guided tour, sponsored by the Athens Ladies Civitan Club, is set for 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10. Members of both Athens Ladies and Greater Limestone Junior Civitan clubs will be in the homes as hostesses. Tour homes are identified by Holiday Home Tour signs in the front yards.

Proceeds from this event support programs for developmentally and intellectually challenged children and adults in Limestone County.

Alabama Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation Donate to Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries

Alabama Chapter of National Wild Turkey Federation presents a check for $81,193 donation to the Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries (WFF) for programs.
Alabama Chapter of National Wild Turkey Foundation presents a check - $81,193 was donated to the Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries (WFF) to fund projects including wildlife habitat management and the publication of the annual wild turkey report, Full Fans & Sharp Spurs. From WFF: Steve Barnett, Justin Grider, Chuck Sykes (WFF Director), and Keith Gauldin (Wildlife Section Chief). From the Executive Committee of the Alabama Chapter NWTF Board of Directors: Craig Scruggs (State Chapter President), Craig Harris, Scott Brandon, and Charlie Duckett.
The Alabama Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) recently allocated $157,555 in Hunting Heritage Super Funds and Tag Funds for wild turkey projects in Alabama. Of that total, $81,193 was donated to the Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries (WFF) to fund projects including wildlife habitat management and the publication of the annual wild turkey report, Full Fans & Sharp Spurs.
