The 2020-2021 hunting season will bring big changes for white-tailed deer hunters in a few parts of Alabama with the creation of two new deer zones. The newly created zones D and E will allow hunters to gun hunt before and during the peak of the rut (deer breeding season) in those locations.

Decatur, AL – Today, representatives from Calhoun Community College and the University of West Alabama (UWA) met for the official signing of a new articulation agreement of conditional guaranteed admission between the two educational institutions that will support the recruitment and transfer of students from Calhoun to UWA. CALHOUN COMMUNITY COLLEGE MAKES GETTING YOUR GED CONVENIENT WITH NEW AND FREE ONLINE PROGRAM
The Calhoun Community College Adult Education Department is currently accepting applications for its new online GED program.
According to Mindi Russell, Calhoun’s Acting Director of Adult Education, GED classes are held year-round and students can enroll at any time. Students have a broad range of scheduling options with classes available at more than 25 sites in surrounding communities. In addition, the new online platform makes getting a GED even easier. “We are very excited about our new online class option and feel it will assist those students who normally would not be able to attend classes due to scheduling conflicts,” she said.
