Possible Covid-19 Exposure Leads to Precautionary Closing & Program Changes at Alabama Veterans MuseumAugust 26, 2021 The Alabama Veterans Museum is airing on the side of caution after a possible Covid-19 exposure recently. The museum plans to close August 26 through September 1, 2021.
After the anticipated return date of September 1, 2021, patrons wishing to visit the Alabama Veterans Museum and Archives located at 114 West Pryor Street in Athens should call ahead to confirm operation status and hours of availability by calling 256-771-7578. Additional impacts of the possible Covid-19 exposure for the Alabama Veterans Museum and Archives includes the suspension of the Coffee Calls on the first Saturday of each month beginning in September 2021. Coffee Call is an opportunity for veterans and their families of all wars and branches to come together for speakers, fellowship, and light refreshments.
