Athens-Limestone Visitors Center Meeting Room

Whether your celebrating a first birthday or a hundred and first birthday, hosting a baby shower, office training session, family reunion, watch party, fundraiser or a wedding -- you'll find the meeting room of the Athens-Limestone Visitor Center a charming and flexible space to host your event.

Wood floors and trim, cathedral ceiling, and spectacular views of Big Spring Memorial Park are waiting to serve as the backdrop for your special event.  

Athens-Limestone County Tourism Center Meeting Room
The Athens-Limestone County Visitors Center is located on the beautiful, historic Big Spring Memorial Park in Athens, AL.   Convenient to Interstate 65, U.S. Highway 72, and U.S. Highway 31 -- the Athens-Limestone County Visitors Center and its meeting room is the perfect central location for travellers to reach for your family gathering.

The space offers:
  • A smart tv for digital displays of training material or family photos from a thumbdrive or your personal computer
  • Individual Ladies and Mens Restrooms with handicap accessible rails
  • Full-Size Refrigerator
  • Small-Prep Kitchen with coffee pot and microwave
  • Patio overlooking the fountain of Big Spring Memorial Park
  • 6 Folding Tables (60"x 86" clothes for coverage or greater recommended)
  • 1 90" Round Table perfect for a gifts or refreshments (120" Round recommended)
  • 1 Conference Table perfect for your head table, presentation table, buffet line, serving table, or gifts table (3 60"x 86" clothes to cover recommended or a queen or king size sheet to cover completely) 
  • Folding Chairs 
Fees
  • $150.00 for 2 hours
    • each additional hour is $10.00
    • all time including setup and takedown must be included in contracted hours
    • unauthorized early or late access may be subject to additional fees
    • attended upstairs restroom access may be rented for $25.00 per hour to additional rental fee
    • Additional day for setup/teardown will be at regular rate
  • $50.00 Returnable Safety and Security Deposit
    • Room must be clean, swept, all spills mopped. 
    • Coffee Pot emptied of grounds and cleaned
    • All garbage removed and bags replaced.
    • No damage to furniture, walls, windows, floors, doors or other surfaces
    • Tables and surfaces wiped of spills, crumbs, and debris
    • Facility secured - windows and doors
    • Key Returned

Additionally:
  • No "Command 3" products allowed on walls, ceilings, or other surfaces
  • No tape or adhesives on blinds, cornices, stair spindles
  • No "Poster Tack"
  • No helium balloons.  If you bring helium balloons and they become entangled or cause damage to the ceiling fan - the safety and security deposit will be forfeit and the user of record is subject to further recuperative process.
  • No Smoking or Vaping in the room
  • If items are to be removed from the meeting room for the event (i.e. tables, chairs, dividers), a portable storage unit must be rented at the expense of the room user to store removed items.  An agreement for temporary removal must be made at the time of signing the room usage agreement.  The room user on contract will be responsible for making arrangements to remove and restore the items, at their expense, to the meeting room.  The room user is responsible for any and all damage that may be experienced during the move (scrapes to floor, walls, doors, furniture; damage, dents, or breaking of items removed, missing or stolen property).    Failure to comply is subject to the forfeiting of the safety and security deposit and further recuperative actions.

Room Layout
All room users must return the room to the meeting layout used the Athens-Limestone Visitors Center.
