Nov 5th -- The East Limestone High School PTO is hosting their 2nd Annual Merry Market from 10 am to 2 pm. The Market will be located in the old gym, directly facing East Limestone Road. We will have vendors, face painting, Knockerball, inflatables and Joe's Pizza!!! The animal shelter will be there with a few pups available for adoption with information on other animals looking for a HOME! Come get some early Christmas shopping done while the kids play!! Nov 5th -- 3rd Annual Sherri Adams Pink Ribbon Run/Walk. Join the Athens-Limestone Hospital Foundation for this memorial run of Sherri Adams, a dedicated nurse at the Limestone Health Facility that fought cancer and succumbed to complications in 2011. In the spirit of Sherri's giving to others and desire for more cancer awareness and prevention -- money from the run is used to update mammography equipment and offer opportunities for early detection to women and men in the Limestone community. Nov 5th -- Elkmont Fire Department Chicken Stew and Cornhole Tournament. Elkmont Fire Department will be having a fundraiser! Cornhole is $30.00 per team and will start at 9:00AM. Prize for 1st and 2nd place. Stew will be ready to serve 11:00AM and we will have eat in or carryout but you must have your own container for carryout. Stew will be $25.00 per gallon; $13.00 per half gallon; $7.00 per quart and $5.00 a bowl with dessert and drink.

Nov 13th -- Hospice of Limestone County and MADD are sponsoring an annual community-wide memorial service called, "Celebration of Remembrance and Hope" to be held at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church at 2:00 pm. All Limestone County families and friends who have experienced the death of a loved one are invited to attend. The service is a special way to honor the memories of our loved ones during the holiday season. Refreshments will be served in the Parish Hall following the service.
