Hospice Chili Challenge Spicing Things Up In New Location
Perhaps your images of a hospice - a community organization that offers compassion and support to terminal ill people and their families - doesn't include jalapenos, chili beans, and family fun but in Limestone County Alabama it does.
Hospice of Limestone County is ready to spice things up with their annual fundraiser on a new date and at a new location. This year's Hospice of Limestone County Chili Challenge and Silent Auction has...
... moved February to March 23 from 10:00AM to 2:00PM and to a new venue, the Limestone County Event Center.
This family-friendly fundraiser is $10.00 (for ages 11 and up) at the door and you can sample the chilis of 20 contenders from the community and a chance to vote for the People's Choice; enjoy live musical entertainment; children's activities; shopping the new "browse and buy" store and a variety of items to bid on in the silent auction. Some of the items in the Silent Auction include fine art items, gift baskets, fine jewelry, collectibles, decor items and more.
What does all of the money go to?
The Chili Challenge fundraiser helps support several non-funded programs provided by Hospice of Limestone County. Among those are: 1) In Home Respite Program, 2) Indigent Program and
3) none hospice Bereavement Program, including Camp Hope, a one day program for children, ages 5-12, coping with grief and loss of a loved one.
