ALDOT to assess pavement on I-65 Expect lane closures, brief delays during testing
HUNTSVILLE — Weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will be performing testing for pavement assessment on Interstate 65 at the following times:
• 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, between mile marker 315 in northern Cullman County, about five miles north of Exit 310 (Alabama 157 in Cullman), and mile marker 319 in southern Morgan County, about three miles south of Exit 322 (Morgan County 55 in Falkville).
• 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, and Wednesday, Oct. 24, in Limestone County between Exit 351 (U.S. 72 in Athens) and mile marker 359, two miles south of Exit 361 (Thach Road in Elkmont).
This work will include alternating lane closures in each lane of the northbound and southbound roadways for short durations. Motorists are advised to reduce speed, obey signs and expect brief delays.
