Mar 2021 -- 26th Annual Corporate Spelling Bee with Learn-To-Read in the cafeteria of the Athens Middle School (100 U.S. Highway 31N in Athens) with local teams competing for bragging rights starting at 10:00AM. Monies raised benefit Learn-To-Read programs in Limestone County. Free to spectators.

Mar 2021 -- 2021 River Clean Up and Trash attack with Keep Athens-Limestone Beautiful from 8:00AM-12:00PM. KALB invites individual families, businesses, groups, and organizations to help attack trash in Limestone County. Three meetup locations: Boat Launch on Hatchery Road off of Highway 99 in West Limestone; Big Spring Memorial Park (Duck Pond) in Athens; Jones Drugs Parking Lot in Ardmore. Other locations to be added based on registration. Register by calling 256-233-8000 or emailing KALBCares@gmail.com and provide the location you will check in to help ensure supplies and refreshment quantities.
