Alabama Enacts Statewide Mask Requirement Effective July 16, 2020From the Alabama Public Health Facebook Page... Effective July 16, 2020 at 5 p.m., each person shall wear a mask or other facial covering that covers his or her nostrils and mouth at all times when within 6 feet of a person from another household in any of the following places: an indoor space open to the general public, a vehicle operated by a transportation service, or an outdoor public space where ten or more people are gathered. Details and exceptions are outlined in today's emergency order from the State Health Officer which ends July 31 at 5:00 p.m. and is available on our website: go.usa.gov/xfbJX. In cooperation with the Governor Kay Ivey, ADPH has created this info sheet: Mask Requirement Frequently Asked Questions: go.usa.gov/xfbJ5 related to the amended Safer at Home Order.
